All DSS Interactive client projects are directly managed by Joe Whelchel. Joe has had a 35+ year career in Atlanta with Coca-Cola (28+ years), market research consultancies and ad agencies (TNS, BBDO), as well as academic and Department of Defense organizations. Joe’s experience is focused in the fields of marketing, web development, market research, advanced analytics, strategic planning, and simulation modeling. Joe has held corporate assignments in The U.S., Europe, Asia, and Latin America. He has published numerous professional articles and textbook chapters on Marketing Research and Management Science. He received Masters and Bachelors degrees from Georgia Tech in Management and Management Science.
Joe now resides in Northeast Georgia and part-time in Titusville, Florida, and combines his unique analytical and marketing skill sets with modern web application development technologies. He leverages substantial corporate management experience and brand building perspectives from major international brands, to bring an “enterprise-grade” level of branding and digital marketing to regional organizations.
Joe also teams with other developers from time to time in a professional network centered around these specialized skill sets. In addition to the commercial specialty work of DSS Interactive, Joe currently focuses on a new mission for churches called OutreachInreach TM, to provide extremely low-cost WordPress websites. This platform is targeted toward church organizations requiring membership account management, simple content creation & management protocols, and advanced role and access management.
