This site was developed as a “template” for a Washington DC consultancy as a tool for customization to specific client applications. GP-Sim is an acronym for Government Procurement Simulation. The tool is designed to be a comprehensive business process simulation for training program managers in various federal government agencies. Its initial development began in prior work for the U.S. Air Force, where the objective was to train fighter aircraft program managers in efficient management of acquiring new aircraft.
The GP-Sim version of this concept is a generic prototype used as a starting point for customization to various asset acquisition processes within government agencies. The tool is an advanced WordPress based web site with extensive security protocols built into the site. Users in different roles have access to specific, relevant sections for their unique business responsibilities. The site also makes extensive use of responsive data visualization graphics to show trainees and program managers the overall effects of their proposed decision pathways.
